I guess you’ll have to define what that means...

I just took the term at face value and assumed the original poster meant being depressed. What does it mean in a sports context? I’m doubtful I’ve experienced it, whatever it is.

In 2007, I took my best friend to his first VT game (v. BC). We jumped to Sandman, drank bourbon under our ponchos in the 40-degree rainy weather. My voice was shot by the end of the game from all the yelling.

When Matt Ryan made the comeback, I was disappointed. But I had a great time at the game and understood that these things happen in sports. We went out that night and had a blast. No ruminating or pouting.

I don’t know, maybe I’m an anomaly in that regard. Why get upset about something I can’t control and that is ultimately unimportant in my life (compared to family, friends, career, etc.)?
