Even when we were winning 10 games a season, a rift had started to form in the fan base. One one side was the group who trusted Beamer completely and only cared that we won (even if it was ugly). On the other side were those who primarily questioned Beamer's choices for the offense (and O coaches) and who saw wasted potential (talent usage and possible MNC runs).

Both sides spent more energy debating each other and less focused on the team as the slide started. And when we all looked up, we were celebrating going to OT vs Wake and tied at 0-0.
