Yes. How is that evidence he expected the job to be given to him?
Perhaps he simply did an analysis that Willis played well enough to retain the starting job and decided to go elsewhere where his prospects were better. Do employees who leave an organization for better opportunities elsewhere have ego problems? Wanting to start, not loving one’s chances of earning the starting job, and choosing to transfer hardly seems like evidence of excessive ego. These kids love playing football...they go where they believe they can play.
