This marks the best finish for Sweden in Europe ever (their previous was a 7th in 1987 and 2013). This also qualifies them for the olympic qualification tournaments which are four separate 4 team tournaments. The top 3 from each tournament qualify, so just don't finish last. Sweden has never qualified for the olympics, but they now have a really good chance.
