Like everyone, I was hoping that he'd stay. But I can't fault him for wanting to be closer to home and to play for a team that will likely make the NCAA tournament again this year. Barring a minor miracle, that wasn't going to happen here at VT this year.

We got three excellent years from him while he enjoyed his time here, improved his game, and left with an undergraduate degree that will stand him in good stead throughout his life.

Everyone won in this situation. So wish him well and look forward to what Mike Young is building here at VT.
