For me the "best results" boils down to wins and loses. VT has had some loses in the past (i.e .Boise State, Matty Ice's Comeback in Lane, etc.) that may have resulted in Ws for VT if the defense had used a different scheme and/or had better quality defenders (including depth) on the field. If the defense is able to put a lot more Kams on the field at one time, then they have a better chance of not giving up a lead late in the game. Likewise, the offense may have a better chance of recruiting more Kams for their side of the ball.
