The reality may say otherwise when influential boosters do the talking with their checkbooks. I am not suggesting that is what happened at VT. I am simply making a general statement that seems applicable for college athletics. If T. Boone Pickens wanted Mike Gundy gone at Oklahoma State, then you can bet all of Mike's stuff would be on a Mayflower trailer heading out of Stillwater before B.street says "Jumpin' Jack Flash."
