Great point, of all the hundreds of speculative

posts on KBJ these past few months, to me your point makes the most sense. If he was staying he would have said by now you would think, and if he's leaving he surely wouldn't want to be in Blacksburg when he makes it public. I'm officially bummed to feel this way and hope like everyone else my feeling is wrong, but this would seemingly be the most likely reason for the delay in announcing.
I feel bad for the guy honestly. He's got ideal NBA size, averaged 15 and 8 in the ACC on a Sweet 16 school and was told he didn't have what it takes for the league. Going to the SEC isn't going to change that. In my opinion it's his left foot that will hold him back. Hard to know all the facts but I remember from an interview with KBJ he said he was born that way but had surgery in 2016 to correct it and they tried removing a bone that restricted his flexibility. Clearly that didn't work and his left heel still can't touch the ground when he's moving which will always limit his agility, mobility, lateral quickness, and jumping ability especially compared to the best of the best in the league. In college he has thrived off his basketball IQ and abilities but you need the athleticism to succeed at the next level. Going to a school with more talent will only diminish his numbers, and with his raw talent and athleticism likely not improving, I just don't see how that helps him get to the league after next season but who knows. Wish him the best in any case.
