Not Dulles specific but as someone who drives a ways to airports


The two best options are off-site lots and park and stay where you can stay at a local hotel the night before and park there and use their shuttle service. With parking rates often close to $20 a day, if you are traveling for a week it is often price competitive and very convenient if you have an early AM flight.

Off-site lots in Chicago at least are 75% the price of the airport lots and usually get you to and from the terminal faster.
