Was visiting with a childhood friend this weekend. His father was a Navy

pilot shot down in Viet Nam in 1968. I had grown up with him knowing his father was gone, but never really talked about the circumstances surrounding his death. He actually had been declared MIA as the military was unsure what had happened to him.

We were talking about how they've now located the location of his plane crash. His bombardier/navigator's remains were located and returned to his family just this year. They have yet to locate any of his father's remains. He was talking about the efforts that the military has been going through to find the crash site and locate his remains. Very impressive.

Here's to praying that they find him soon. I know it will help my buddy and his family.

Here's a article about his navigator.
