Hmm. Wonder what will happen to UConn football now if return to Big East
1. Wonder if they'll want to stay in the AAC (if both parties agree).
2. Wonder if the MAC will take them (like they did Temple a number of years back).
3. 1-AA with UNH, URI and others.
4. Be independent like UMass, Army, etc.
Neither seems like a great option. But you'd think if they were independent, they's be able to get games with Army, UMass, Liberty for sure. Maybe NMSU, and BYU out west. Not sure about ND.
Also, I wonder if Temple might be interested in becoming their partner. If both went to the Big East for all but football, then they might both be able to join the MAC (in the same general region as the New Big East), or even be football independent opponents. Not sure how Temple feels about the AAC. And who knows, since Army is an independent in football, Navy might swing back in that direction. If it all went down this way, you could see how the football scheduling would shape up. [Post edited by Maroon Baboon at 06/22/2019 12:51PM]
