I agree with your assessment. And if it’s true, then what’s the point of transferring? The only reason to transfer would be to improve NBA stock. It’s pretty obvious that KJ doesn’t have the athleticism and explosiveness that NBA teams are after. And there’s nothing wrong with that. He’s poised to have a long and lucrative career somewhere overseas. That said, is he going to improve his stock significantly by transferring? He’d be better off staying, being the focal point of the offense, working on his 3pt shot (a focal point of MY’s offense) & Euro step, and mentoring the other young bigs in the program.
Or just head overseas now.
Transferring makes the least amount of sense at this point.
