Big difference between Pitt and Nebraska, IMO.

Nebraska has been playing in front of 80K or so sold out crowds for about 50 years. Pitt doesn't have a stadium, and doesn't sell out the 60K or so seats they have.

Nebraska has had some form of conference stability for at least that long. Maybe longer. Pitt is just now getting that.

Nebraska has the backing of the entire state and a huge alumni/fanbase that is nation wide. I'm not sure I know more than one Pitt fan. They're second fiddle in their own state.

Nebraska has Big Ten money and big time facilities.

***edit*** Just saw where the NU AD considers their facilities to be middlin' compared to the rest of the Big Ten. That's what happens when the likes of Purdue open $70M facilities, and Northwestern $270M+.
