Devil's advocate response

I guess the card we can't see face down on the table is "potential".

I wonder if JJ's upside had been achieved. He was what he was...serviceable. Good student in the film room. Athletically limited. I have to wonder if Burmeister and HH and QP all have higher potentials than JJ did.

So, is the face down card a 3 of clubs, or is it a Queen of Hearts?

I get not including Burmeister in depth, yet. I have to think Burmeister's upside is greater than JJ's but who really knows? HH getting much more work & reps may have him past JJ now; only coaches know (and I know my "may have" is a very very big "may", not proven). I was just wondering about the backups having more work now, than before. More reps. But that could be a very very short peg to hang a hat on, I know.

Just fun discussion.

False. At least JJ was proven and competent. -- HokieHoopz 06/11/2019 11:23AM
