I agree with your overall point that there is no "one" on our defense that
opposing coaches have to account for. And that is worrisome to be sure. But I feel like we are in a lot better place defensively, just by NOT having the majority of our starters on defense being first time starters (and many of those first time starters being 1st or 2nd year players). I don't think you can overstate the level of execution struggles that happened simply as a result of having inexperience lined up next to inexperience. We won't exactly be putting a "veteran" defense out there, but we will be putting a capable one out there IMO. Which we obviously didn't do last year.
