It will be interesting to see how the negotiations of the next contract


play out. I could see it play out 1 of 3 ways:

1. Big XII asked to take a pay cut (aka receive the payment of 10 members).
2. Big XII asked to agree to the same amount (aka receive the payment of 12 members even though the Big XII only has 10 members).
3. Big XII receives a small increase in pay, but not the amount the conference would have received if it had 12 members.

Assuming the Big XII isn't poached by the other power conferences, will it be allowed to remain with 10 members or will it be forced to expand? The Big XII could decide to expand to 12, 14, or 16 and make a smooth transition because it owns the copyrights to the Big XIV and Big XVI names too.
