I have had family members (teenage girls) that have problems with seizures. They take Klonopin only if they had a bad seizure. From what I understand it is not advisable to use this on a daily basis. Its purpose is to settle things down after a bad seizure. I noticed that people that take this are out of it for like 24 hours like they are slowly rebooting so to speak.

For anxiety and depression in teenage girls in my family Lamictal has worked well. Everyone's body chemistry is different though. It is trial and error until you find the right one that works for your daughter. Olanzapine works well for bipolar but it can cause weight gain but this is tricky because bipolar disorder can cause a change to the metabolism and it may be the bipolar disorder itself causing weight gain. Another one that has been around since Ancient Greece but is generally only used for adults is Lithum Carbonate.

My family members that have anxiety and depression have to regularly visit their doctors to get these meds right. It is a tough process for the patient and for the patient's family but when it gets to the right spot everyone will be happy. It just takes time. Best of luck to you and your daughter.
