This is true of all “equivalency” sports. Unless VT gets rid of at least

one men’s sport, or adds one or two women’s sports, it’s just not going to happen. The ACC has approached VT and other schools about adding men’s lacrosse, but financially it just does not work out. VT’s student presence in the mid-Atlantic and northeastern areas of the country definitely would be a recruiting positive though.
