Think the recruiting is the only possible indictment to be made

Coaches are mercenaries. The best ones will be the most demand, and they're all going to listen if they've got any sense. Biggest difference between Buzz and others, I think, is that he was a little more transparent (not 100%, obviously) about this than others who would be extremely guarded about what they were entertaining. Recruiting is intrinsic to being successful as a coach which is why I said that could be a possible indictment. But I can't be upset for a coach successfully navigating the job market, such as it's structured. But the only way to keep a mercenary long-term is to get lucky (Beamer, and even that almost didn't work, once upon a time), or always be able to pay them more than any other place would. Since VT will most likely never be the latter, I suspect the majority of their most successful revenue-sports coaches over the years are going to be more like Buzz, at least in terms of loyalty and longevity.
