If the pro networks become niche sport networks

then I will be curious to see what impact it has on the various conference networks and the other networks (i.e. ESPN, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, etc.) that televise collegiate sporting events. At one point I thought the conference networks could evolve to place where all regular season home events would be televised exclusively on a conference network. If you are a fan of the visiting team and that team is a member of another conference, then you would have to subscribe to the home's team conference network in order to watch your team play. The regular season and post season tournaments/neutral site games could be televised by all the participating conference networks or an independent network (i.e. ESPN, CBS, NBC, TNT, ABC, Fox, etc).

Now I am wondering if the future of the conference networks is to eventually be absorbed by the various pro networks.
