"They had multiple reports..."


What does that mean, exactly? I suspect you're going to have to prove that they knew there was damage to their own roof. Not to a neighbor's roof, or that a potentially damaging storm had occurred. It's scummy, but knowing the house was under contract it's likely in their interest to remain willfully ignorant about that sort of thing unless the damage was unavoidably obvious.


I bet you're SOL on the carpet regardless.
