I'm pretty sure Helm stopped wrestling. I don't think he made it very far into his gray shirt year.

It's one thing to be a good high school wrestler: it's another thing altogether to handle the level of training and conditioning at the D1 level. The shock to the system would be even more so for a big.

I also think that there were some health concerns.
