Dominant pitching. The 2 we have are good, but we need a true #1.

As it is now, we have two #2 caliber pitchers, which will get us to this level, a 2 seed in a regional with a 2-2 or 1-2 result. If one of these is off, we can go to the other with no drop off, which is good, but to get any better, we can't be giving up almost 20 runs to another team over 2 games.

The 2007-2008 team had AT, but this bunch hit MUCH better. It takes both to keep rolling unless you have a once in a lifetime pitcher.

Things are definitely headed in the right direction, though, but there is still a ways to go to ne a top 16 (super regional) and CWS contender. There is still a big divide from the top 6, or so teams, to the 17-32 range, which is about where we are.

Another big thing is to beef up the schedule. The ACC is pretty average, and the unbalanced schedule magnifies that. A great record doesn't mean much when you don't play the best team in the league to see where you really stand.
