Good question. Unless it was a specific scout on that player


Although with 2 outs and runner on 1st another school of thought is deep outfield = “no doubles” defense to prevent run from scoring. Again if it was actually hit ANY where else it’s probably and out and still could’ve/arguably should’ve been caught
