You seriously don’t think it’s the players? Particularly the JUCO players???

Our best player (Carpenter) is a JUCO and leaving for the draft or transfer because coaching. Scouts will draft him because they all think our coaching is a joke and forgive his drop in average.

Heard, Dellinger, Alford (JUCO) both logged a lot of innings and big contributor.

The rest of the JUCO pitchers didn’t get a chance to throw because Mason’s recruits logged in their innings.

Horanski (JUCO) is a great hitter BUT coaching somehow messed up his swing.

N.Owens (JUCO) one of the top defensive SS in the ACC and hit better with a broken wrist until over coaching

J.Owens (Transfer) was our best hitter all year and one of the best 2nd baseman in the ACC (only 2 errors). Hit better as a sophomore with Mason.

This defense (led by JUCO's in the middle) set a school record for fielding % (per Baseball post)

btw - 2 top JUCO transfers just decommitted recently.

Just for giggles: Fragal and Stoffel both (ACC mentions) hit much worse under Elbin than they did with Connoly. There's a trend of good players getting worse.

Baseball is all about data and my guess the few Freshmen that are playing will get worse and not better under this regime. If they don’t transfer. Watch the portal closely.
