I am not down on Beck as you seem to assume. I have never met the

individual and know absolutely nothing about him personally so I have no grounds to have anything against him what so ever.

What I am saying is that every mention of Beck at this point in time is an open invitation for someone who might have a differing opinion to voice it as well. At this point in time, the fact that he is very fast has not been evidenced as having any influence, either positive or negative, towards the football program what so ever.

No, no wide receiver coach has ever said he has a natural ability to catch the football.
Since he has never played a down of college football, wouldn't it be more relevant to compare his track time to Usain Bolt, Michael Johnson, or Carl Lewis as opposed to three of the better running backs of all time?

Since you have some idea of what you are talking about, please share with us how much time Beck has invested perfecting his skills for track and how much time he has invested in perfecting his skills for football? Once we have this knowledge, then we can discuss exactly what role he desires to attain to on the football team and be closer to determining where his heart and mind might be.

Or, just perhaps, you are willing to now admit you have no more of an idea than those you aim to call out? Would we even be having this conversation if he were not a local player? If he were from out of state, would he still garner the same level of discussion here?

The only evidence based fact we know at this point in his college career is that he is fast and he is a Hokie. That is the only thing that anyone on this board can back up which means anything else is simply speculation or wishful thinking. Please feel free to add any evidence based facts to this if I have overlooked anything.
