necessitate a negative response?

Most of the Beck negativity that I've seen is nowhere to be found in what I call the "Beck as Chuck Norris" joke threads.

They usually run something like:
Post 1: Beck just set a PR in the 100!
Post 2: Yeah, too bad he can't catch the ball.

Post 1: Beck just took 4th place in the ACC finals!
Post 2: He'll never play a down.

I'm not suggesting that discussin about Beck isn't welcome (that's a stretch of a bad assumption and jumped-to conclusion on your part). I'm just wondering why so many (apparently, you're one of them) are so down on Beck without any basis whatsoever.

No, no WR coach has ever said he can't catch.
No, no one said he is Adrian Peterson. Someone said he's fast like Peterson.
No, no one can read Beck's heart and mind; yet, so many here have said things like "his love isn't for football" or, "He's strictly a track guy, not a footballer" or, worse, "His head isn't into the game"

I'm calling out the people who have no idea what they're talking about while choosing to spread negativity about a new player of ours.
