Maybe money was never a focus for him though other than earning


enough to make sure he and his family were secure for the remainder of his life. Hence my reference to the full pension requirements. It wouldn't be the first time a player wanted to stay in the NFL long enough to earn a full pension. At least I believe that was Nick Marshman's plan when he tried to pursue a NFL career after VT.
