Well that would be interesting if WVU is 16. This by no means is the only way to do it, but it puts geographical rivals together. Geographical rivals usually create more passion and being closer by, helps fill up the stadiums. The SEC fills up their stadiums and it looks good on TV, which is great for recruiting. Some of those stadiums are not huge, but it still looks good, just like ACC basketball.

Critics remember that you will play the other divisions teams home and away every 6 years. That's "way more" often than you are playing most of the other division teams right now with 14 and two divisions.

ND, Syracuse, BC, Pitt (A lot in common and history with those former Big East basketball, 3 football schools and academic commonality)
VT, UVA, WVU, UL (Would be a lot of passionate games each year)
NCSU, UNC, Duke, WF (Bragging rights for many close by neighbors like basketball)
Clemson, FSU, GT, Miami (That's the way SEC recruits so well playing regular season games with passion and talent. Time for these schools to admit the SEC has it right)
