To your first point, I might agree if the show had spent any time

setting the table for her to slaughter innocent people. Yes she has killed people in the past. So has Jon Snow, Ned Stark, Robb Stark, and other "honorable" people. Those people have almost always been enemy combatants, traitors, etc. Killing slavers while freeing slaves is not even remotely in the realm of killing thousands of civilians for no reason. She killed the two Tarly men for refusing to completely surrender. She didn't turn around and kill all of their men too. People see Dany as "something else" because the show has repeatedly shown her as that. She has always been moved by the plight of the downtrodden, the common people... the same people she just burned alive for funsies. Dany's not my favorite character (I'm not sure who that would be... Ghost maybe). But you can't present someone as a "good guy" for 99% of the show and then say "Just kidding she's Hitler". That's not something that makes perfect sense, it's just lazy writing. Nothing in Dany's history has pointed to her meaninglessly slaughtering innocent people... nothing.
