Hospice will tell you that very often

Hospice has years of experience and see the passing of one happen quickly after telling them it is OK.

It is more than just saying it is OK to pass, you need to tell them you will be okay and not worry about you.

The family truly believes my mom waited for me, her baby boy, to get there when it was "any minute now" for days. My sister is a doctor and the other sister a nurse who were by her side taking vitals. My dad was there with another sister and a grand daughter for round the clock care.

I got there around 1 pm with my wife. I come from a large family, and Mom had a large family there visiting including her kids with spouses, grand kids with spouses, and great grand kids. At times, there were 15 people in the room that day.

Hospice came by, and pulled a few siblings to the side. She advise us when it got down to a few siblings that we all needed to tell Mom it was okay to go because we would be fine. We then needed to leave room, and have dad spend 15 minutes with her and say his good byes. Hospice advise us after dad, she would most likely pass very quickly.

We talk to dad, and he was all in because he understood being a true Catholic like Mom.

We all waited. We got the text dad was done. We all rushed in, and my sister doctor took some vitals. She said Mom was going, and you could visually tell.

My dad said we all need to hold hands and say the "Lord's prayer". We did that and she passed within a minute of completion.

Death can be a beautiful like I was bless to experience with my mom.

Yes, say it is ok after they know you are ok. It cannot hurt.
