Its an investment of time and resources

In the last couple years, I have seen guys younger than you shut down their Tailgates for the same reason you would consider shutting yours down.
To me the Hokie Club has missed an incredible opportunity to bring lifetime members into the fold for endowment giving. Instead, they created a system that pissed off people that had committed 6 figure donations who are currently winding down their careers and eyeing retirement.
When the aggravation cost exceeds the enjoyment factor is when the decision to seek alternatives arises.
In your specific case, once that tailgate experience is ruined (they have already messed up seating numerous times) you will revisit the economics. One of our tailgate crew retired to Myrtle Beach and watches the games poolside.
the point is when people lose the fun experience (tailgating) then they start to quantify the true cost and that value equation is what the Hokie Club totally screwed up in their re-evaluation of the seating. I assume I have seen you in town in your camper with Atlee as your license plate
here is hoping the Hokie Club revisits their failed program and we can get back to the atmosphere both in stadium and in the parking areas of Hokie Football
it would pay off financially for the Hokie Club in the long run
