Fuente has said something like this (quote below) on multiple occasions since the end of the regular season...and he did go a little further in that radio appearance about his concerns about the rules leading players to quit during the year.

"I understand the graduate part of it. Now I wish there was a little bit more academic reason behind it, but I get it. Know what I mean? Like, a guy graduates from college. He’s an adult. Know what I mean? He’s no longer a young kid. Am I concerned about us inching toward free agency? Absolutely. And everybody else is concerned about that."
