I trust @ Chris Coleman on this one. He has stated several times it's shock he was still on the team by the time we got to ODU. Apparently, because he was such a great talent, on a team that didn't have great talent, he was given more chances to "do better" than a cat has lives.

Remember, this kid was forced out of regular high school his senior year and had to go to an alternative school. Frank took him in spite of the huge red flag simply because we were running out of talent, especially on the D side of the ball, and because Uncle Frank believed he could turn the kid around.
