Then read Chris Smith's book

this book on this board many times in the past, and will continue to do so (Chris should be giving me a percentage!!). His experiences in high school, at Va. Tech, and afterwards in many "Unofficial Gold Medal Tournaments" where x college all stars (Think Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Bob Ayersman, Louis Mills, the Feldman twins from GW, Dick Kepley, Jeff Cohen (W &M) Terry Holland, Burke from VMI, and way too many others to list, are well worth the read!! Lists his discussions with the NBA about playing there (Believe me, he would have been drafted MUCH lower than the 14th he was choosen., had he not told them he WAS NOT PLAYING PRO, because they would not offer him more than his starting salary as a CHEMICAL ENGINEER!!
Have talked to him a number of times in person. Great man, quality person, and great incite about what it took to be an all star then.
