They are foxes in charge of the henhouse. A thin veneer of respectability used in service of promoting the nobility of sham amateurism.

At BEST, they function decently when the membership is entirely mistrustful of one another (e.g. the demise of the old SWC) but when it comes to things that they are all happy to more or less paper over, nothing will ever happen.
