VT @ UVa-C 1976

Home side. Walked out the portal at the 50 yard line and sat on the seat next to the aisle. Parked at the front gate too. My Uncle was a long-time UVA supporter and from Charlottesville (my dad's family is from there). My uncle owned a gas station (Union 76???) not too far from Scott Stadium. He also owned a Checker Cab painted blue and orange, etc. Named it the Wahoo Wagon. UVa cheerleaders used to ride onto the field in it. That is until my uncle loaned it to me the summer after I got my driver license and I totaled it. Bent the frame. My best "seats" however were seasons 73 thru 77 at VT. I was a ball-boy on the sidelines for every VT home game. That's back when each team supplied their own balls but home team supplied all the ball-boys. We always tried to steal the opposing team game balls at the end of every game. Often we were successful.
