It was a fallback school and I went down with a few other Cave Spring guys. Robert Lichtenstein and Tom Rozzi (may he rest in peace). Tom and I both transferred to VT and became Kappa Sigs. Elon was an easy school and fairly cheap back then. I now live in Raleigh and I visited Elon (now the Phoenix) and it has gone through an amazing transformation. Expensive and much better academics than when I was able to get accepted. Worked out well for everybody - except for Tom Rozzi. Cancer and died after college. Great guy and a sad story. I had known him since he moved to Roanoke in Jr. High. Great family!
