Yes, that was Melvin, second cousin to Darius

Melvin was an honorable mention AA at VMI. He was also the second cousin to Darius Rucker who lived in the Bluefield area for 4 years and still has relatives there. Melvin Rucker has since passed away. He was a beast at Bluefield High for the Beavers, and at VMI. He was the only AA linebacker at VMI in the 80s, so it had to be Melvin.
