My opinion as to what he meant was that he has been told his best chance at the NBA is as a PG, so he wants to prepare for that in college somewhere next year. At VT, he was a good passer, although he played out of control at times. His out of control times were usually when leading a fast break. He probably wants to show scouts that he has erased that shortcoming in his game. He has a lot of talent, but needs to learn how to harness it.
