Probably sets a bad precident to try to hold recruits to a LOI after...


...a school loses their coach. MY probably thinks that would hurt his recruiting down the road.

Best to release him, then try to recruit him again afterwards (if there's interest by both parties). If not, then look for players who want to play for VT.
