So the dad lied? I totally missed that part.


I am late to the game on this so correct me if my view of the what happened is wrong. I am not seeing the spin. The timing (last minute) of pulling the scholarship is what bothers me. If what the dad wrote is true, then this was handled 100% incorrectly. Just because we found a better recruit, as you stated, does not make pulling the scholarship okay. Because more players do this than coaches does not make this okay either.

What would I want? D'Amour to say "I screwed up. I would do it differently if I had a chance to do it again"

I look at this from the dad and kids shoes and not the VT side. I can see what a royal pain being blindsided would put me in if this happened to me and my family. Again, if what the dad is saying is not true, then my disappointed is misplaced.
