jealousy/envy factors in and the question is what is the root for that? Success? Inability to match that level of commitment? Other? However, that does not mean the rule breaking does not exist. If you go to bed at night and the ground is dry and you wake up the next morning to puddles, even though you did not see it you can reasonably conclude it rained. Same thing when recruits flash stacks of cash and talk about getting paid, it is naive not to believe something is going on. This stuff has been going on all over for a very long time and the differences are in extent not existence. The real issue is when the NCAA tickets the school going 60 in a 55 while turning the blind eye to the school doing 120 in a 35 and then is morally outraged at the attack on the concept of the student athlete when compensation challenges arise.
