But Fuentes system is nowhere close to the air raid. Even taking into


account the possibility that he has never in his head-coaching career had "his guy" at QB (which is a stretch IMO), he is still very much a "run the ball" coach. In his 7 seasons as HC, he has run the the ball 57.6% of the time (never once less that 54.7%), and on average over his career the RBs have run the ball 26.4 times per game. That's a HUGE number of carries to waste on average to below average talent. Comparing that to Mike Leach's air raid (28.6% runs over the same 7 years) is apples and oranges.

Good discussion, btw. hope I'm not annoying you too much...but I strongly disagree with the premise that Fuente and his system can have sustained success (which I will loosely define as 6+ acc wins each year) with mediocre talent at the RB position. Again, they don't need to be all-world 5* guys, but they need to be a hell of a lot better than we have now.
