I can't say because each coach is different, but it may be a case
where the coach has to pick his poison. I believe most NFL teams only carry 2 QBs for a game, so that frees up 1 roster spot. However, it may come down to is carrying 3 K/Ps more important than having enough depth at RB, WR, TE, OL, DL. LB, and DB? I suspect that question is raised regardless of the position when the coach is trying to decide how to allocate the 46 roster spots for the next game.
