Given the lack of viable options for the Big XII

I am a little surprised that schools are opposed to adding 2 Texas schools. If the Big XII had 6 Texas schools, then the South Division could be those schools which would guarantee the North Division multiple games against Texas schools. If the Big XII decided to use the zipper model, then both divisions could have 3 Texas schools in them.

The other scenario that crossed my mind is the possibility of the Big XII breaking up and 2 new conferences form in the process. I do think the 2 conferences could end up having a Big 8 and SWC type feel to them.
