UNC is the hottest team in the ACC right now. They were picked to finish 3rd in the ACC preseason poll behind FSU and Notre Dame. I knew UNC would give us a fight and they did. With that said, Tech did win 1 of 3 to put us ahead in the Coastal Division. Boston College isn't that good of a program this season. Tech "should" sweep BC but you just never know. Tech should be favored in their final 7 regular season games.

As for Tech softball, we are about a #20-25 team. I think Tech is the 3rd best team in the ACC behind FSU and UNC. Considering Tech was picked to finish 10th, being 3rd is a great accomplishment. UNC has figured out Carrie Eberle. Tech will figure out George the next time around if we meet in the tournament. Looks like 46 to 47 regular season wins to me. Our weak strength of schedule will likely keep tech from hosting a regional, but at least we'll be back in the NCAA tournament.

Pete D'Amour needs to find a 3rd quality pitcher for next season and will have to replace Strouth, Nolan, and maybe Duff (I think she still has a year of eligibility?). I wonder if Olivia Lattin gets a medical redshirt or decides to graduate and leave the program in May? D'Amour needs to find 3 or 4 quality offensive players and another quality pitcher if he wants to move the program forward in 2020. I have no clue what Napoli will give us next season. Looks like D'Amour has little confidence in her right now. We're going to miss Strouth and Nolan. Let's hope they both have a memorable month of May for Tech.
