Interesting question. ESPN is in a better position now to take 3-6 of the Big 12 and place them in the SEC, ACC and to a lesser degree the B1G to get to 16.

Almost everyone knows that it is easier to schedule 16 than it is 14 and make sure teams in the conference play each other much more often. Also, that the College Football Playoff gets their Elite 8 with Conference Championships with 4 Power Conferences. Now ESPN is in a much better position to re position Big 12 teams into other Power Conferences. Or at least it appears that way to me.
