I've always thought that he was arrogant. Sometimes arrogant and confident

Go hand in hand. With sports in particular, it's pretty rare to find someone who is confident and successful, but not arrogant.

Lots of little things, like not looking at people while he was talking to them. Starting interviews with "you may not understand". Always having a them vs us attitude, even if the "them" is trying to show him love. Interviews always felt like he was begrudgingly allowing us simple-minded folk to step into his genius mind. He's also very vocal and public about his good deeds, on twitter, videos, etc. I do think he's arrogant, and I find his shtick to be false in many instances.

That said, nobody is perfect. Some of his faults are because of his success, and some of his success is because of those faults. I have my own as well. I don't hate the man, and I hold nothing against him for leaving for aTm.
