I agree with the premise of


your argument, but I think you are generalizing too much. Just my personal opinion (I don't know him after all), but I absolutely feel that Nolley made his choice with his fondness of VT being a factor, given the "home" feeling that his announcement seemed to convey to me. He was the GA state player of the year IN ALL CLASSES, so he is most definitely the type of player that can improve our team's standing, and he could have probably transferred to any other school in the country (well, maybe not Duke or the other blue bloods, but maybe), but he chose to stay at VT. "College Experience" had to play somewhat of a factor in his decision. I do agree with what you are saying in general, but I don't feel your assertion can be assumed for all elite players (don't know if LN is elite or not, but his HS accomplishments and star ranking says he is). Everyone does not conform to the stereotype.
